Project1

I really don’t know if the design itself has any significant meaning. I was initially just after a Realistic effect but than I realized I didn’t have the technical skill to pull it off, just yet. I stayed pretty close to this concept; by creating an image of an object that could be place on a t-shirt that might actually be part of the t-shirt, a pocket. Initially I was just going to make a button, but I figured it was probably a little too conceptual. I also realized it could possibly be deceiving in the amount of time put into creating it so I created a pocket, with buttons. Fortunately most of my choices were dictated buy the image itself. Except for the spirals, those were added to fulfill the requirements of the assignment. The spirals’ lead me to add a second button/eye. The red tag, I put in to break up the grayness of the overall image, and add some realism it. The second button and the mustache seemed to push it a little to far into the cartoon realm. I also used the tag to break up some of the symmetry that seemed to be taking over my image. The gradient effects did a good job of pulling away from the mirror affect, but the red tag just made a less subtle statement.

Week 3 Doodle

This was fun, i use my first doodle as a Template. Made it into a grey scale and locked it. Than i use the pen tool to retrace all the shapes. Than i used the fill and stroke functions to vary line weight, and fill colors i also added a few extra strokes in some the the shape. I worked on one quadrant and than just duplicated it. The hardest part was working in layers and trying to place them in the correct order. so here it is
